Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. Her reporting in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases has led to the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell's experience in Charleston was the reason she joined as co-anchor and investigative reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Prior to becoming a part of Access Hollywood she was a co-anchor on weekdays as well as the NBC weekend co-anchor. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's covered events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals shows to The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She hosted both the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
